Apple Delays Return-to-Office Indefinitely; Offers Employees a $1000 Bonus
Citing rising Covid-19 cases, Apple postponed its 1 February return date and promised a month of notice before a new one.

Apple has postponed its planned 1 February return-to-office date for U.S. corporate staff because of rising Covid-19 cases and the Omicron variant.
According to a memo from CEO Tim Cook, employees will receive at least a month of notice before a new date is fixed, along with $1,000 to set up their home offices.
Apple joins Google, Lyft, Uber and Amazon in delaying office plans. The company has also kept mask rules in its stores and offered weekly at-home tests to retail staff.
