Learning Business, Life and Leadership Lessons from Steve Jobs
Focus, design and the courage to say no: what founders can learn from the co-founder of Apple.

Steve Jobs co-founded Apple, was pushed out in 1985 and returned in 1997 to lead one of the best-known turnarounds in business history.
Focus is saying no. On his return he cut Apple's product line down to a few products and concentrated the team on doing them well.
Design is how it works. He treated design as part of the product's function, from hardware to software to packaging, and sweated the details customers rarely notice but always feel.
Setbacks can be useful. His time away from Apple, which included starting NeXT and building Pixar, gave him experience he later brought back.
Connect technology with the humanities. He argued that great products sit where technology meets how people actually live.
